Rev. Gabrielle Chavez, an ordained minister of the United Church of Christ, is a lifelong student of theology, biology, and healing. The founding pastor of Christ the Healer UCC and organizer of the Climate Cafe in Portland, Oregon, she has explored and utilized many expressions of personal and planetary transformation. Gabrielle’s interest in the intersection of science and spirituality infuses many of her sermons. Besides preaching, she regularly teaches online classes on initiations along the Christ path. Gabrielle’s aspiration is to wholeness through the embodiment of Christ, making the practice of loving relationships and community her core spiritual discipline.
Gabrielle and Thomas practice ‘listening in a state of grace’ at a political rally. As a peace church that aims to unify all voices in a divided society, they witnessed that receiving others, in love, no matter their opinion, enables other the freedom to find their own resolve without any discourse.
